Since the May 2024 election, there has been a notable rise in farm attacks. We urge everyone to take extra precautions for their safety.

We ask for your thoughts and prayers for the following victims who have endured severe trauma, with some still recovering from grievous injuries, and for those who have lost their lives to these heinous acts:

– Flip Minnaar, Heidelberg MP (unconscious in hospital) – 3 July 2024

– Gerhard Nel (65, deceased) and Barbara Nel (63) – Porterville, Western Cape – 1 July 2024

– Peet & Olga Ehlers, elderly couple (two broken ribs) – Sandrift, Britz, North West – 29 June 2024

– Martie Dorfling (58, deceased) – Britz, North West – 23 June 2024

– Unknown farm worker – Groenkloof, Mooinooi, North West – 24 June 2024

– Tollie Nel (63, deceased) and son Theuns Nel (29) – New Castle, KwaZulu-Natal – 13 June 2024

– Oom Toy (78, fighting for his life in hospital) – Cullinan – First week of July 2024

– Lynette Smit – Machadodorp – First week of July 2024

These are the names we have at present, but it is reported that there have been more than five farm attacks in the last ten days.
