Limpopo Police have launched a massive manhunt following the discovery of two female bodies and a man hospitalized after a shooting incident at a farm in Sebayeng policing area outside Mankweng.
The bodies were discovered on Tuesday, 20 August 2024, after police were alerted about a missing 45-year-old South African woman who disappeared after visiting the farm on Saturday, 17 August. A search of the farm revealed the body of the missing woman and another body of a 35-year-old foreign national woman in an advanced stage of decomposition.
Further investigation revealed that both women sustained gunshot wounds and were with a 47-year-old foreign national man when they visited the farm, who was also shot and is currently hospitalized.
The motive for the incident is unknown, and two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder have been registered. The identity of the deceased will be released in due course.
Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has instructed the investigating team to apprehend the suspects involved in this heinous crime.
