Here’s a super easy Malva Pudding recipe:
Ingredients:
– 250g all-purpose flour
– 150g granulated sugar
– 100g apricot jam
– 125ml milk
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
– 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
– 2 large eggs
– 2 tablespoons butter, melted
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
2. Mix flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk milk, eggs, and melted butter.
4. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until combined.
5. Pour into a 20cm square baking dish.
6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
7. While baking, mix apricot jam and 125ml water in a saucepan. Bring to the boil, then reduce heat.
8. Remove pudding from oven and pour hot jam mixture over it.
9. Return to oven for an additional 5 minutes.
10. Serve hot, dusty with icing sugar (optional).
