KeymasterG24 made a crucial breakthrough in the fight against farm attacks this morning, 11 January 2025 with the successful arrest of five (5) suspects involved in a series of farm attacks in the Southern and Western Cape. The arrests followed an effective collaboration between G24’s special task team, investigation teams, SAPS and other parties involved.
After intensive private investigations, the private investigation team identified a vehicle that may be related to several farm attacks in the region.
This vehicle has been marked and carefully monitored. According to information gathered through the use of recent intelligence and LPR records, it was determined that the vehicle was heading for the Breede River area. The vehicle was later located in Tulbagh, where the G24’s investigation teams were monitoring the situation.
As of 22:00 on 10 January 2025, G24’s operations team monitored the vehicle’s movements. After six and a half hours of monitoring, five suspects approached the vehicle and left in the direction of Wellington. The situation was immediately shared with all relevant units.
Through joint forces, which included the cooperation of farm attack investigation teams, the vehicle was stopped by all units in a tactical stop, after which the five suspects were apprehended. The suspects, who are known for their involvement in previous farm attacks and murders, were searched and during the search process, burglary items, balaclavas, gloves and other items were found that are often used by farm attackers.
It was also suspected that these suspects may be responsible for a recent farm attack in Stellenbosch.
Suspected stolen items, including jewelry and other belongings, were found in the possession of the suspects.
G24 sees these arrests as a significant breakthrough in the fight against farm attacks, as this group is known for their extreme violence and the conditioned modus operandi they use in their crimes.
G24 would like to thank all team members and others involved who helped with this operation. A special thank you goes out to the G24’s Special Task Team and Investigation Team, SAPS, and other private role-players who made the successful arrests possible.
