‘We must get over it’: Errol Musk on Apartheid, ‘racist laws’ Elon Musk’s dad, Errol Musk, has spoken out about escalating racial tensions, calling on South Africans to ‘forget about’ Apartheid.  Written By Megan van den Heever.

Elon Musk’s father, Errol Musk, has shared his views on topics like “white genocide,” “racist laws,” and the aftermath of Apartheid. The 79-year-old South African businessman spoke during an episode of Podcast & Chill on Monday, 10 February.

Like Elon, who was born in Pretoria in 1971, Errol has strong views about the country. Elon emigrated from SA at the age of 17 to pursue his studies and career abroad.

He is now a naturalised US citizen and is the head of US President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

Errol remains in SA in his Langebaan home in the Western Cape.

On Monday, Errol Musk spoke again on the Podcast & Chill platform.

This comes two months after his first sit-down interview with host MacG, real name Macgyver Mukwevho.

The retired engineer touched on a variety of subjects similar to those of his son, Elon Musk, who claimed that SA was “openly pushing the genocide of white people.”

Errol highlighted corruption, farm murders, and the recent signing of the Expropriation Act, which he believes is a “racist law”.

He said: “We have to get rid of the people who are taking money and giving it to their friends so that the money reaches where it is supposed to go. This is a very bad thing.

“Nothing was a problem until Mr Ramaphosa came up with the idea of expropriating people’s properties, and that’s basically scary for people. The thing is not to scare people away from SA.

He continued: “Black people and white people in South Africa need each other, so we have to put an end to all this nonsense.

On the topic of Apartheid, he said: “We’re finished with Apartheid. We need to get over it, forget about it. We can’t blame everything on Apartheid”.

“When I travel here, I see that South Africa has the least racism here. I don’t see any problems.”

    SUPPORT FOR AFRIFORUM?

MacG then asked Errol Musk about his views that AfriForum – an NGO geared at promoting the interests of Afrikaners – was spreading “misinformation and feat to protect white privilege.”

Errol said: “They strike me as a little bit dull, but, they don’t cause fire”

Referring to EFF’s Julius Malema, he continued: “When I hear people singing ‘Kill The Boer,’ ‘Kill The white man,’ that worries me.”

He added: “I don’t hear any white people talking like that.”
