According to the Standard Islamic Narrative, the Dome of the Rock and the inscriptions believed to be referring to Muhammad’s journey into the seven heavens originated around 621 AD, but evidence suggests there is no way these inscriptions could have dated this early because of differences in written language.
They also don’t refer specifically to Muhammad himself, but to “the Blessed One.”
This could refer to Abd al-Malik or even Jesus.
