A suspect has been arrested for the horrific double farm murder that took place on Saturday, 3 June 2023 around 13:30, on the farm Klipfonteinhoek, in Ohrigstad in the Limpopo province of South Africa.
Anneke Claassen (76) and her friend Hennie Claassen (78) were overpowered by two or three attackers in separate houses on the farm.
The famous Echo Caves are part of the farm.
The elderly pair were set on fire while still alive after being horrifically tortured.
The suspect, a former worker, who was well known by the victims, was arrested in Tembisa.
On 5 June 2023, the FF Plus commented on the savage double murder saying ‘The brutal murder of two elderly individuals near the Echo Caves outside Ohrigstad once again highlights the cruelty of violent crime in South Africa.
The party, also once again, urgently called on rural communities to put security mechanisms in place, join existing networks, and remain vigilant to ensure their own safety.
