KeymasterA new social structure is possible
Dear NATALIE ,
Many people have asked me; “Michael, how did you come up with the idea for One Small Town?”
It all started around 2005, when I had just finished writing my book “Slave species of God”. It opened my eyes to the fact that we live in a slavery system, entirely based on competition and rivalry, which benefits only a minority of the rich at the expense of the vast majority. All this is a source of social, spiritual and environmental distress. Yet we are not even aware of it because we were born into this system, we have not known anything else and we believe that things cannot work otherwise.
We had to create a strategy to free ourselves from slavery. Out of this thinking, the idea of One Small Town evolved over 15 years. It did take some time. It took years of trying many projects and a lot of sweat and tears to figure out how to create a coherent system that would protect both its contributors and its investors.
From the beginning, it was clear that the world cannot be changed by force and violence. We chose to get people to join us by setting an example, by showing that another system is possible.
Instead of fighting the existing system, we have chosen to transform its instruments of slavery (money, laws, legal structures of companies and cooperatives, tax rebates…) into instruments of liberation.
One Small Town’s mission is to show people that with cooperation and collaboration we can achieve anything.
During this process, people will quickly discover that money does nothing, that people do everything and that a better world is possible provided that we roll up our sleeves and collaborate.
So join us!
In Unity,
Michael Tellinger
