There is Always Someone Stronger
“He delivered me from my strong enemy, from those who hated me, for they were too strong for me.” (2 Sam 22:18)
It is a youthful mistake to believe you are the best or the strongest.
Make no mistake – there are people and forces in life that are stronger than you.
A diagnosis of cancer can humble the proudest man and make him realize he is weaker than he thought.
We are constantly surrounded by things that could annihilate us.
The list of things that you could be afraid of is so long that diagnosing and treating ‘phobias’ is a full-time job for many clinical psychologists.David penned this after God had saved him from all his enemies.
David was smaller than Goliath and less powerful than Saul… and that was exactly the point.
We don’t have to be strong, we just need to be near Him who is.“Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation.” (Ps 68:5)
