Criminals continue to target unsuspecting victims, especially those using e-hailing services and selling or buying products on social media, particularly “Facebook Marketplace”. This is according to police. According to police spokesperson, Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi, this trend has become a point of concern for some time. Facebook Marketplace lets its users buy and sell second-hand items. Unfortunately, scammers are rife on the platform, looking to take advantage of unwary victims.
