    Manchester United are mourning following the death of Sir Bobby Charlton. The club has confirmed his death through official feeds across all platforms.

    Manchester United fans and the world celebrated the late 86-year-old football great during and after his illustrious career, which spanned years.

    However, despite his untimely death, little is known about the cause. A family statement confirming the news reads: “It is with great sadness that we share the news that Sir Bobby passed peacefully in the early hours of Saturday morning.”

    The family is yet to share more details concerning his death. Against the news, social media has been set abuzz with fans across the globe flooding feeds with condolence messages.

    Over the years, he has been regarded as one of the best stars to play Manchester United.

    Sir Bobby Charlton made 758 appearances for Manchester United and scored 249 goals during his 17-year stint with the Red Devils.

    During his illustrious career that spans years, he managed to win several silverware, which included:

    • Three Premier League titles

    • FA Cup

    However, he had 106 caps for England and scored 49 goals for the Three Lions. Sir Bobby Charlton was part of the 1996 World Cup winning squad.
