KeymasterResident on rural Farm Paarl, brutally attacked by intruder(s).
FIDELITY ADT and DFW Fire and Resue crews quickly on scene.
Paarl, 12 December 2022
Around 01.00 am in the dark of night, the DFW emergency radio network reported a brutal Farm Attack on one of the DFW member’s farm, on Lustigan Road, and an immediate medical and armed response assistance was required due to the severe injuries of the victim.
Within minutes the Fidelity ADT rural reaction teams were on site, clearing the route for the DFW emergency medical first responder Deon Lynch, later followed by the requested Paarl K9 and Paarl police and Ambulance.
The coordination of emergency services was coordinated over the DFW control room, by FADT officer Manuel Farmer, also a DFW volunteer fire and medical responder.
On scene it appeared the resident, an elderly gentleman, saw his garden gate open and wanted to investigate. Outside he was brutaly attacked with a spade and endured injuries on his hand, stomach and head.
A further investigation by police might shine some more light on the situation.
Farm attacks with injuries are not common for this area, especially because a very swift and adequate response awaits the attackers, whereby K9 teams, drones and modern technology is used in the pursuit.
Around the same time, another farm close by, was also visited and endured serious damage to security infra structure.
The Private DFW Fire and Rescue group, together with Private Armed response security partners are united not only by a single radio network, but also in their endevours to keep the area safe.
