Cheesy Ground Beef Dip
*ingredients:
°1 lb. minced meat
°1 onion cut into cubes
°2 minced garlic cloves
°(10 ounce) can of chopped tomatoes and green peppers
°One can (8 ounces) of tomato sauce
°1 tsp. chili powder
°1 tsp. cumin
°Salt and pepper to taste
°2 cups grated cheddar cheese
°1/4 cup sour cream
°Jalapeno slices (optional)
°Tortilla chips or chopped vegetables for dipping
*Methods:
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess fat.
Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes, until softened.
Add the diced tomatoes, chilies, tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, salt and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Stir in the grated cheese and sour cream until the cheese melts and the dip is well combined.
Transfer the dip to an oven-safe dish and top with the jalapenos, if desired.
Bake for 15 minutes, or until the cheese melts and bubbles.
Serve the salsa warm with tortilla chips or chopped vegetables for dipping.
