You’ve got to be lower than low to carry out something like this. Pretoria SAPS are seeking a group of multiple suspects, after they targeted an elderly couple in Waterkloof Ridge during a housebreaking incident on Wednesday morning.

According to first responders, the husband and wife were – thankfully – stabilised at the scene. Video footage taken from outside the property shows the pair being whisked into ambulances, before being taken to a nearby hospital for emergency care.
Details remain relatively sketchy at this point. The housebreaking took place on Aries Street, and an assault was carried out on the property owners. The thugs then quickly fled the scene. Police have now launched a large-scale manhunt to track down these suspects.

Just after 9:00, crowds had gathered outside the property. Paramedics, police, and other emergency crews all attended, as neighbours tried to get a glimpse of the horror that had unfolded in their suburb. Yusuf Abramjee, an anti-crime activist, uploaded this video earlier today:
Pretoria paramedics confirm housebreaking assault
Emer-G-Med officials, meanwhile, have issued an updated statement on the matter. They confirm that a police investigation is now underway, and that paramedics had to treat the elderly couple at the scene before loading them into the ambulance.
“At approximately 8:40 on the morning of Wednesday 9 November, Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to the scene of a house robbery at a premises in Aries Street in the Waterkloof Ridge area.”
“Reports from the scene are that a an elderly couple were accosted by an unknown number of armed suspects who assaulted the homeowners, before fleeing the property.”
“The husband and wife were treated and stabilized on scene before being taken to a nearby hospital for further care. The South African Police Services were in attendance and will be conducting the necessary investigation accordingly.” | Emer-G-Med statement
