Farmer and wife survived and are stable. At approximately 02:00 3/03/24, 4 or 5 suspects armed with firearms and knives broke open the door and entered the house. The farmer (71) and woman (68) tied up, assaulted and locked in a room. House was ransacked, lots of cash, mobile phones and other items of value stolen. They fled on foot, direction unknown. Around 09:30 a garden worker came to the scene and released the farmer and woman.
SAPS and AfriForum were immediately on the scene and an investigation is being carried out to the best of their ability.

Boer en vrou het oorleef en is stabiel. Ongeveer 02:00 3/03/24 het 4 of 5 verdagtes gewapen met vuurwapens en messe deur oopgebreuk en die huis betree. Die boer (71) en vrou (68) vasgebind, aangerand en in kamer toegesluit. Huis was geplunder, klomp kontant, selfone en ander items van waarde gesteel. Hulle het ter voet gevlug, onbekende rigting. Ongeveer 09:30 het tuinwerker op toneel afgekom en die boer en vrou vrygelaat.

SAPD en AfriForum was dadelik op toneel en ondersoek word tot beste van vermoë gedoen.
