A farm attack took place on 2 November 2022, at 23:45 on the farm Pypkop in Warden in the Free State province of South Africa.
Johan and Pam Kok were fortunate to survive an attack by two assailants who entered the yard by breaking the lock on the gate and then broke through the security gate and broke open the door of the home.
The attackers entered the home.
The door from the kitchen to the dining room was locked and this gave the couple time to call for assistance.
The attackers then kicked down the locked door and moved towards the bedroom. The bedroom door was also locked.
At this point Johan fired off a warning shot and this caused the brazen attackers to flee the home.
Assistance from a nieghbour was swift and he arrived within five minutes. The police and security company arrived after twenty five minutes.
Tracks were followed but there were no arrests.
