A farm attack took place on the night of Wednesday 23 November 2022, on a smallholding in Canelands, in the KwaZulu Natal province of South Africa.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the property at approximately 22:41.
On arrival, Reaction Officers met with the 52 year old man who stated that he was in the process of unlocking a gate leading to his farm when unknown gunmen opened fire on him.
He fled into the bush and returned fire from his 9mm pistol causing the suspects to flee in a white double cab bakkie. The registration and model are unknown.
The victim’s white Colt bakkie and the driveway gate were shot.
Fortunately no one was injured.
Police are investigating but there have been no arrests.
