Farm attack suspects nabbed after quick response – Mokopane

A farm attack took place just after six near Mokopane at the Maribashoek small holdings on Tuesday, 26 September 2023.
In the morning the owner went out to take care of the animals where two armed suspects were waiting for him and forced their way into the house.
They demanded money. At the time there was a morning radio call and according to him he told the suspects if he didn’t answer the neighbors would notice.
There was immediate reaction from the nearest neighbours. The suspects fled on foot.
The vehicle that was used to get away was later stopped by members of Basoppa and neighborhood watch.
Two suspects were arrested and handed over to SAPS Mokopane.
Traces of three suspects were followed for several kilometers in the direction of Mokopane. The three suspects were later spotted at the wildlife breeding center after which members caught one suspect.
Two of the suspects got away. Groups involved: HPG Mokopane, HPG Modemolle, Basoppa Sekeruteit, Arende Bergwag, Afriforum and SAPS detective branch.
