Healing in Answer to Prayer: One year ago

Exactly one year ago I was ministering at the Minister’s Conference at KwaSizabantu Mission in KwaZulu/Natal. It was a real privilege and monumental answer to prayer, as the week before I had suffered a stroke and was in ICU at the same hospital that I had been born in and where my mother had passed away 22 years before. We must never take life, or health, for granted. A healthy body, mind and spirit is a privilege.
Every day is a gift from our Creator God.

With every breath we must praise and serve Almighty God and seek to honour and obey our Redeemer and Saviour.

On 28 February I suffered a stroke and realised that I was dying. Daniela drove me to Vincent Palloti hospital (which is where I was born in 1960 when it was St Josephs). As I was admitted to ICU, I remembered the day, in 2001, when I admitted my mother to the same hospital ICU after she suffered a stroke. My mother had less than a week to live at that point. I was sent for a CT scan which confirmed that I had suffered a stroke. I told the doctor that I had to be in KwaZulu-Natal next week for a conference. He laughed and said: “you are going nowhere! You have suffered a stroke!”

The same day that I was admitted, our Chairman of the Board, Anthony Stander, came during visiting hours in the evening, read James 5, anointed me with oil and prayed the prayer of faith. I knew that I was healed and the next morning this was confirmed by the doctor and the physiotherapist, speech therapist and cognitive therapist who gave me a battery of tests and declared, with much surprise, that there was no evidence of cognitive decline. Although I still needed to work on my speech to overcome the slurring.

Digital Sabotage Election Interference
For 32 years our SAVotersGuide.org website was quite popular and would get over 1,000,000 visits on an average election year.
Then last year I was informed that someone had hacked this site and it now directed to a corona propaganda page in Hungarian!
Our page was also no longer available to us!

Interesting timing as this year is a very strategic election year on which so much is at stake.
Was this digital sabotage deliberate election interference?
We certainly are experiencing more and more censorship online.

Late November last year every one of our 20 websites were hacked and we were not even able to send out, or receive, emails.

Evidently with growing interest in and support for the Cape independence movement, our website was perceived as a threat to the status quo.

During the Cold War come I had the opportunity of travelling throughout Eastern Europe, including behind the Iron Curtain and saw the beginnings of a number of successful secession movements including in the Baltic states, Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia. It was also my privilege to be involved in the campaign for the secession and independence of South Sudan.
