If you are using this method, I highly recommend that you start by testing it out in a small area of your closet. Maybe you start inside a doorway where you don’t usually see it. My cabinets are very light in color and have a matte finish. I’ve never noticed a change in my ends, but if you have a shiny finish or your ends are older, chances are you’re damaging it.

Start with 1 tablespoon of baking soda, 1/2 tablespoon of dish soap, and 1/2 tablespoon of water. Mix everything in a small bowl to make a paste.

Then, using a rag or microfiber cloth, apply a small amount of putty to the cabinets. I have these microfiber cloths here and I love them! You can have one bathroom color, one kitchen color, and one cleaning color. It’s gentle enough to use on furniture and cabinets.

Rub gently in a circular pattern with a microfiber cloth. As soon as I started scrubbing, I could feel the grease spots bubbling up. The microfiber cloth will work it into the wood rather than clinging to the grease stain
