Is there a similarity between our nation and the Israelites’ captivity
Written by – Willie Cloete Volkskrag chairman
I think of Israel being carried away into captivity and under foreign domination.
WEREN’T WE ALSO PLACED IN EXILE AFTER 1994?
We no longer have a country we can call our own.
We as Boer Afrikaners are strangers in our own land.
We are forced everywhere to speak English.
Our street and town names are changed so you start thinking you’re in the wrong town.
You are no longer in control of your own future.
I believe there are many of us who have come to the point where even in your own residential area where your roots lie deep, feel this is no longer my residential area.
It’s very visible where people get old and go smaller; or setting up camp with children – that the houses are sold and strangers move in – then you don’t feel at home anymore because the whole character of the area is changed.
We need to start getting more into our own areas where you can feel at home again and live out your culture. I also believe that those who leave the country also feel that way. You feel unwell because your language and culture are worth nothing now.
We as a Volk cannot have another ‘great trek’ and move to an uninhabited area.
All land now belongs to someone and you can’t just take possession of the land and territory.
We as a People will have to plan and execute our own trek.
If we want Self-Determination again, we must have an area of our own where we decide our own destiny and culture again.
PEOPLE’S POWER works with other interest groups to affirm our identity and destiny.
Our nation is not just in physical exile. We are also in spiritual exile — in which our enemy has placed us with all the strange dogma now appearing, e.g. like the view that there is no Devil; Strange, unchristian views on life are imposed on us and we just have to be tolerant!
We need to detach ourselves from the liberal theologians and the media who propagate such. We need to trust in God again and make his Word our only guide.
However, all of this must also be accompanied by actions that we must actively work towards in order to liberate ourselves and fight for SELF-DETERMINATION for our PEOPLE – that we too can return from our captivity and raise up a God-honoring people’s household again.
The first test we must pass is to stop constantly criticizing our compatriots for trivial things and instead try to find honest solutions to our problems.
The Koninkies should get off their thrones and get points of cooperation instead. Work together to get our Folks who have been plunged into poverty out there with projects that create jobs and stop employing people. Give some of us people who want to work a chance. Believe me there are heaps of them – just give them a chance.
