Their superiors remained in Gaza while they carried out these acts. One of the terrorists disclosed that those who brought hostages back to Gaza were promised $10,000 and an apartment. Their strategy involved seizing control of targeted towns and establishing a presence there after committing violent acts, which included killing and abducting local residents.
