CORPORATE COWARDICE, OPPOSITION IMPOTENCE AND MISPLACED COMPLIANCE
Compliance with unjust racial laws are being aided and abetted by Corporates and many other organisations, impotent political opposition and an apathetic public.
Unfortunately, Dis-Chem is not alone…
20 YEARS OF CORPORATE BRAVERY BEFORE 1994
In an extract below by Martin van Staden in the Daily Friend this morning, examples from the past demonstrate this quite clearly.
“…some even openly refused to abide by inherently unjust law.
In South Africa’s Silent Revolution (1990), former IRR CEO, the late John Kane-Berman, wrote that by the end of the 1970s, so-called white, primarily English, universities admitted black students without, as was required by law, acquiring the government’s permission.
In 1978, the Port Elizabeth technical college abandoned the application of government’s racial policy. This rejection was copied in 1986 by various other technical colleges which formally and openly declined to apply the law as written.
From 1976 various white church schools decided to admit black pupils, despite government directly threatening to withdraw their registration.
In the late 1970s through the 1980s, real estate developers and estate agents in urban areas began selling and renting homes to black and non-white South Africans in flagrant contravention of group areas laws.”
“In these instances of civil disobedience, the government did not take serious punitive action against the businesses and South Africans who were transparently violating the law.
This was because South Africans indicated their rejection of race law. It was bad for business, evil, and arbitrary. There was a growing social repugnance towards legislated racism, and many corporates and civil society formations regarded themselves as servants of their customers (as a way to gain profit) and the public, not servants of the political elite.”
28 YEARS OF CORPORATE COWARDICE, IMPOTENT POLITICAL OPPOSITION AND CIVILIAN APATHY SINCE 1994
With some 140 racially unjust laws introduced by the ANC since 1994, and more on the way, the blame for allowing this to happen and to continue, lies at the feet of Cowardly Corporate compliance, lack of adequate residence by opposition parties and unforgivable apathy by ourselves, the citizens of all minority groups targeted with injustice.
EWC IS HERE, AND STILL WE COMPLY WITH INSTITUTIONAL INJUSTICE
Not only do racially unjust laws, EWC, and the theft and wastage of Trillions of our Taxes continue under our noses, but also our apathy and the cowardice of the private sector, particularly big business, to not stand up and stand strong against injustice, continues to enable the ANC to proceed unabated with its unbridled criminal activity, and with impunity, until all is lost.
What happened to our resilience and sense of justice?
UNILATERAL CHANGES IF NEED BE
Moves are well underway by certain political parties and civic organisations to prepare the way for the Western Cape to secede from South Africa, either in an orderly and legal fashion according to article 235 in the Constitution, or if necessary, by way of a UDI (Unilateral Declaration of Independence) in accordance with international law if all else fails.
THE DA FACES ANOTHER MASSIVE DECLINE IN THE WESTERN CAPE
With well over half the WC electorate favouring independence, according to credible independent polling mid last year, and just over 26.7% already having officially registered their mandates on Capexit.org, almost 60% of DA supporters wanting independence, and a large number of DA “closet councillors” quietly favouring independence behind closed doors, one wonders why the “white top leadership” of the DA continues to ignore its core supporters in the Western Cape.
The strong trend of DA supporters finding new political homes in other parties, most notably in the FF+ , continues to rapidly gather momentum, especially by the majority coloured and white communities, which in the past, kept the DA in power.
DA & FF+ COALITION ON THE CARDS?
Increasingly possible, even likely, is that the highly desirable formation of a coalition between the DA and the FF+ will be needed post 2024 to govern the Western Cape with a sensible and steady hand, while the rest of South Africa collapses under a highly likely ANC & EFF coalition.
WC BRAVERY IS ALIVE AND WELL AMONGST ITS CITIZENS
Its high time Corporates, political and civic organisations, and public institutions toss their misplaced cloaks of “compliance with injustice” aside and pull over the same mantle of brave and justified civil disobedience which helped bring down apartheid pre 1994.
A SIMPLE PUBLIC ACTION IS REQUIRED
Citizens in favour of a single issue provincial Referendum taking place in the Western Cape asking:
WESTERN CAPE INDEPENDENCE:
YES or NO?
need only register their support online, even using their cell phones in seconds, on http://www.capexit.org, at no cost, no risk and without spam, regardless of race, religion, political or any other groups supported.
Capexit npo is not a political party and exists purely to manage the central “pro referendum” registry on behalf of all the citizens of the Western Cape.
With 1.6 million registrations, over 50% of the electorate will have indicated their desire to be asked in a referendum, and therefore guarantee a positive outcome even before it is held.
All corporates, organisations and institutions should strongly, publicly and loudly be encouraging their staff and clients to register for the sake of determining the true “Will of the people”, nothing more and nothing less.
The public shouldn’t need encouragement to register themselves, their families and friends to do the same.
The DA leadership must join the FF+ in supporting independence instead of continuing to ignore the citizens of the Western Cape.
Failure to do so guarantees failure to escape the inevitable complete collapse of the Western Cape along with the rest of South Africa after 2024
