Life is not about the money
Not so long ago, small communities (which we then called villages or settlements) lived in greater harmony. When one family was building a house, the neighbours would help with the construction. When the children had to be looked after, another neighbour would step in. People spontaneously supported and looked after each other because their community depended on it.
The word community comes from unity. Today, how many of us know our neighbours, in our houses or apartment blocks ? Would you leave them the key to the apartment while you are away? Today, that is often not the case.
Since childhood, we have been told not to trust anyone. Is this the kind of world we want to live in?
