Life video keeps wife’s hope of being re-united with her husband alive-The wife of a South African man who was kidnapped in Libya nearly six years ago, says she’s hoping to be reunited with her husband soon following a proof of life video released by his kidnappers. Gerco van Deventer was kidnapped on November 3, 2017 while working as a paramedic in Libya. His wife Shereen, who lives in Swellendam in the Western Cape, says she never gave up hope of him returning home. The Gift of the Givers have been working behind the scenes to negotiate his release.
