Four additional suspects – three men and one woman – have been arrested in connection with the murder of Lieutenant-Colonel Piet Pretorius and will appear in the Ermelo Magistrate’s Court today.
This follows ongoing investigation into the incident on 16 January that claimed the life of Pretorius (59), the commander of the vehicle crime investigation unit.
Five suspects were previously arrested in Mbombela.
Prince Gift Mdluli, who fled after the murder, was arrested in Komatipoort on 8 March.
The five previously arrested suspects are former police officer Mthobisi Nkosi (40), Aubrey Xaba (35), Skhumbuzo Skhakhane (40), Nyiko Mujovo (30) and Valencia Skhosana.
