Man op Cradock-plaas doodgesteek | Landbou
KAROO NUUS – Die liggaam van ‘n 65-jarige man met veelvuldige steekwonde aan sy bolyf, is vandag 30 Augustus om 09:30, in die woonhuis van die plaas Uitkyk gevind.
Die plaas is tussen Cradock en Hofmeyr. Plaasveiligheidslede, en polisielede het na die persoon begin soek nadat sy verlate voertuig vroegoggend by die Conway-kruising gevind is. Dié voertuig maak deel uit van die formele ondersoek.
Die oorledene se identiteit is aan die polisie bekend, maar mag nie bekend gemaak word voordat die formele ondersoek nie afgehandel is nie.
Die verdagte is glo nog op vrye voet en ‘n soektog is van stapel gestuur.
Enige persoon met inligting rakende die insident kan die ondersoekbeampte by 082 319 8876 of 08600 10111 kontak.
Die oorlene was vermoedelik deel van die span wat tans aan die opgradering van die R390 pad werk.

Police in the Eastern Cape are investigating a case of murder after the body of a 65-year-old man was found in a farmhouse on Wednesday.
Spokesperson Warrant Officer Majola Nkohli says police were summoned to a crime scene at a house along the R390 between Hofmeyr and Nxuba (formerly Cradock) at 9.30 am.
He says upon arrival they found the deceased with stab wounds to his upper body.
WO Nkohli says his identity is being withheld until he is formally identified by his next of kin.
He says the victim’s bakkie was later found abandoned on Conway Road in Hofmeyr.
Police say the circumstances surrounding the murder is unknown at this stage and urged anybody with information to please come forward.
The reality in South Africa today is that everyone personally knew or knows of at least one person that has been murdered in the last 29 years. Another educated and productive man murdered, that contributed to our broken society. RIP. Condolences to his family.
