ON THIS DAY in MISSIONARY HISTORY
16 July 1931 – Famous English cricketer turned pioneer Missionary,
C.T. Studd (1860 – 1931), died at age 70, in Ibambi, Belgium, Congo.
READ MORE HERE Amongst other things, C. T. Studd is famous for having declared: “Some want to live within the sound of church or chapel bell; I want to run a rescue shop within a yard of hell.” And “Only one life, it will be soon be passed. Only what’s done for Christ will last.”
He also founded the WEC (Worldwide Evangelisation Crusade).
