Police opened a case of murder and kidnapping.
Police are investigating the murder and kidnapping of an email service driver who was found dead in his car in Soshanguve Uitbr 5 on Tuesday afternoon, July 9.
Police spokesperson Ao Johan van confirmed that police had received a call about a body in a car next to the Kopanong Clinic, in the north of Pretoria.
He said when officers arrived on the scene, they found a white Toyota Corolla Quest with the back door wide open.
“When they searched the car, they discovered a man lying unconscious in the back seat of the car,” Van said.
Van said the Gauteng emergency services pronounced the victim dead at the scene. He added that the deceased had a gunshot wound to the left side of his chest.
“He has been identified as the Bolt manager of Soshanguve,” he said.
“The police have opened a case of murder and kidnapping,” he added.
Van said no one has been arrested yet.
