The alleged sex ring brain boss, Gerhard Ackerman, was acquitted on two counts, due to lack of evidence. It relates to alleged oral sex he performed on two of the victims.
He is facing charges for his alleged involvement in a child sex ring, where he “hired” young boys who were molested by men.
Ackerman told the high court he had a massage business that allegedly employed boys from the age of 16. He reportedly had more than 160 customers.
He appeared in the High Court in Johannesburg today where the alleged brain boss behind a group that sexually abuses children is facing more than 740 charges. The charges include human trafficking, possession of child pornography and rape.
However, he denies guilty on all charges against him.
Ackerman appeared in court last year alongside Paul Kennedy, who has since committed suicide.
Evidence was gathered from Ackerman’s cellphone, on which hundreds of videos and photos were allegedly of child pornography.
The court case was postponed to Wednesday.
