Six men have been arrested following a farm attack in Bishopstowe, near Pietermaritzburg. The incident occurred in the afternoon, when the suspects stormed into a house and assaulted two elderly individuals. The victims were awoken by a noise at the main door and found three unknown men carrying crowbars inside. The attackers demanded cell phones, televisions, and cash, and proceeded to assault the occupants before fleeing with two televisions and two cell phones. The victims alerted their security company and the police, who apprehended two suspects in possession of the stolen televisions. Additional suspects were later arrested with the stolen cell phones. A case of house robbery has been opened, and the suspects will face court proceedings. Farm attacks have been a growing concern in the Bishopstowe area, with frequent incidents occurring.
