Reformation Society – Africa for Christ !
If you live in Cape Town, you’re welcome to join us for supper at 6 PM Thursday 18 January and for the presentation at 7PM to look at amazing new research on how Africa is destined to become the Continent with the Largest number of Christians in the World. Operation World informs us that there are now over 600 million people in Africa who claim to be Christians. The number of Christians in Africa is set to double by 2050 when, if present trends continue, our continent is expected to be home to 1.2 billion Christians! There is phenomenal church growth in Africa, but the challenge is that over 100 million churchgoers in Africa do not yet have a copy of the Bible, or even a New Testament. Most of the pastors in Africa have no formal Bible college training. Most pastors have no access to a library. Study Bibles are rare and some pastors do not even have a full Bible. Africa’s greatest and most urgent need is Bibles and Bible teaching, which is the primary focus of our mission. “So shall My Word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11Christian Perspective on the News
