Thousands of Springbok fans are waiting with bated breath to hear whether or not Bongi Mbonambi will be allowed to participate in the Rugby World Cup final this weekend. The player was accused of using a racial slur by England’s Tom Curry during their semi-final match last Saturday. While the wait hasn’t been easy for his fans who are currently blasting Curry online, Mbonambi is on the field preparing with the rest of his team.

A video of the training session has gone viral after his teammates are heard asking him “watter kant” — something many believe to be the statement that he said which was mistaken for a racial slur.

BONGI MBONAMBI TEASED DURING TRAINING SESSION

While many wait nervously to hear the fate of Springbok Bongi Nambi, he and his teammates are working out a storm as they gear up to face New Zealand on the field next week.

In a video shared on X by Hendrik Cronje, Bongi can be seen training alongside Siya Kolisi and their other teammates.

Hilariously, Springboks management member JJ Fredericks asks Mbonambi “watter kant” (which side) — as a clear jab around the statement many believe was actually said during the match.

In the comment section, social media users laughed heartily as they discussed how playful the Springboks are as a team.

“Tom Curry won’t enjoy this video. Too many kants,” one person said while another wrote:

“How many times they say kant in this video. Go Bokke!!”
