A farm attack took place on Friday 13 January 2023, at 06:00, on a farm along the R43 road between Kleinmond and Botrivier in the Western Cape province of South Africa.
Dr. Russell Reuvers (71) was overpowered outside his home by two attackers.
During the assault Reuvers was shot in the leg. He returned fire killing one of the attackers. The other attacker fled the scene.
The alarm was raised and all role players responded.
The second attacker was arrested near the home.
Reuvers was transported to a hospital in Hermanus.
