SAPS Detective and Crime Intelligence members embarked on target driven operations which seeks to fight any form of criminal activities in the area.
During the early hours of Wednesday morning, 22 February 2023 members followed up on information of suspects allegedly involved in business burglaries in the area as there was a noticeable increase in the statistics.
A search was conducted at Extension 24 and three suspects between the ages of 25 and 40 years were arrested and household goods were recovered to the value of R59 000.00.
They were detained on a charge of possession of suspected stolen property.
Detectives are probing their possible links to the business burglaries.
The suspects are expected to appear in the Butterworth magistrate court soon.
Amathole District Commissioner Major General Ngangema Xakavu commended the team for their good work.
