Speaking to Dan Moyane on eNCA, Ann Bernstein explained that the current education system is failing pupils. She cited a lack of accountability, corruption and cadre deployment as some of the contributing factors to South Africa’s poor education system. “For our level of per-capita income we are the worst under performer in the world,” she argued. This media interview is based on a new CDE report titled “THE SILENT CRISIS: Time to fix South Africa’s Schools”
