Theft of supporting structures in the tall electricity pylon towers over many months and the inaction of the Pretoria City Council in fixing the issue has resulted in a major power outage across much of Pretoria – starting at about 9pm on Easter Sunday. Seven pylons fell over and the repairs will take time – especially in South Africa.
