It looks like I will soon be living in a city called Meanjin (or something like that) – an Aboriginal place name that is sure to be legislated if the proposed Aboriginal Parliament get in through a constitutional “Yes” vote. Thankfully that seems unlikely – maybe its the millions of ex-pat South Africans now living here who will steer the ship back on course. (I live in Brisbane the capital of Queensland)

You cannot make this shit up !!! Yes lets hope its all the ex-pat Saffas in Aussie who will put an end to this bullshit. The world is going mad.
Seems they are following in SA footsteps with changing city names (and probably street names to follow). What a waste of money which could have been utilized much better
In our own country we do not even know where these (new named) towns and cities are !! Not to mention the street names in a city you have lived all your life! Such a waste of money. It costs millions to change these names as all maps must be changed
