*Farm Attack*
Forest Hill sugar Estate ( Andrew Morkel house)
At around 23h11 we received a distress call on the radio notifying us of people inside the house of Manna Delport, and that shots was fired. Marius and Fox 3 responded and myself from Mtuba to assist Security 4 U and Manna Delport.
On arrival we met the police boy who was beaten up badly along with his workshop boy. They informed us that they was attack by 5 armed suspects all wearing balaclavas. They were then tied up with cable ties and wires and proceed to the house where they broke a small window at the front door and opened it with a key that was still in the door. Manna woke up when he heard his door to the bedrooms been kicked. Upon opening the door they saw Manna and shot at him 4 times and Manna returned fire causing them to run.
No one was injured except the dog who was stabbed that was in the room. He was taken to the vet and is fine.
We checked the fence and found were the suspects entered. Myself and Bongani from Security 4 U could only see two sets of footprints around the house. It’s possible that 3 could’ve been the lookouts.
SAPS arrived on scene and statements taken.
