FARMER ATTACKED IN SOMERSET EAST
SOMERSET EAST: April 2, farm in Somerset East district, while 79-year-old farmer was busy feeding ostriches in front of the house, he is suddenly surprised by three unknown assailants pointing weapon at him and also holding his employee (32) hostage; they are both forced into the house, where the girlfriend of the farmer (46) is forced to open the gun safe and becomes a hunting rifle. 38 revolver and cash robbed along with two TV sets and two cell phones, before attackers drove away from farmer with Isuzu double cab; alarm made and farm guard and SAPD launches search. No further details available.
