Butter a loaf pan 8 × 4 inches, lining the bottom and side of the pan with parchment paper, as shown in the photo.
In a mixing bowl, whisk the butter, 1 cup sugar, lemon juice and eggs.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt; Stir into egg mixture alternately with milk.
In the same bowl where the flour is gathered, add the berries and turn them in 2 tablespoons of flour. This will help prevent blueberries from drowning.
Add lemon peel and blueberries in the mixture. Pour the mixture into a prepared frying pan.
Bake in a preheated oven for about 60 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean in the center of the loaf. Cool the bread in a pan for 40 minutes on a wire rack.
