ON THIS DAY in MISSIONARY HISTORY
8 April 1868 – George Matheson, a blind hymn writer, was ordained pastor of Clydesdale Parish. He wrote the Hymn: “O Love that will not let me go.”
8 April 1901 – Missionaries, James Chalmers and Oliver Tomkins were martyred on the Fly River in New Guinea. They were clubbed, boiled and eaten by
