From every corner of the world, we have seen a rise in extreme protests throughout 2023, with activists causing chaos and damage to make their point.Climate activists have destroyed priceless art, glued themselves to roads and shutdown public transport networks.
Global protests also erupted following Hamasā attack on Israel on October 7, reflecting the deep-seated divisions in the ongoing conflict.
American college campuses became a focal point for these demonstrations, with a significant proportion of them aligning with the anti-Israel perspective.
In July, riots blazed through Paris, Marseille and Lyon, after police fatally shot 17-year-old Nahel Merzouk.
The violence came as France reached a tipping point after an influx of migrants over recent years.
And as we say goodbye to 2023, one thing is almost certain, we can expect even more extreme protests throughout 2024.
