Arise (South African political party) removed from the national ballot by the IEC because they allegedly did not “tick a box”

There is complete chaos over the political parties accepted by the IEC – UIM was left off, now accepted; the Arise party accepted was later removed and the ANC’s attempt to have Zuma’s MK party removed backfires.

  1. The same thing has happened to Ricardo Maarman’s party. When Ricardo asked the why they are excluded the IEC told him they don’t have to disclose the reason.
