A man was seriously injured after he was shot multiple times in Trenance Park – KZN.
Residents contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) after occupants of a white Toyota Etios opened fire on the victim who was walking towards a tuck shop on the corner of
Cottonwood Drive and Poplar Road after being dropped off by a red unknown make/model vehicle.
Reaction Officers were immediately dispatched and arrived on scene at approximately 17:01. According to witnesses, an occupant from the white Toyota Etios alighted from the vehicle and walked towards the victim before he fired multiple shots in his direction.
The injured male dropped his cellphone (picture 2) and fled approximately 150 meters before he collapsed. He was expedited privately to hospital. Five (5) spent 9mm cartridges were recovered at the scene (marked by red cones in the pictures). The victim’s family informed Reaction Officers that the victim is a part time E-Hailing driver.
The motive for the shooting has not been established at this stage.
